Cal State Fullerton is recognized as a Fulbright Hispanic-Serving Institution by the U.S. Department of State and a Seal of Excelencia recipient by Excelencia in Education, the nation’s leading authority on Latino student success. More than half of CSUF students identify as Hispanic, many of whom are the first in their families to pursue a college degree.Celebración de Cal State Fullerton: ¡Somos Titans!, now in its fourth year, brings the community together in support of student scholarships and programs. The event has raised $765,000 for programs like Abrego Future Scholars, Latinx Community Resource Center, First-Generation College Student Week and the Educational Opportunity Program. Previous headliners include Grammy Award-winning artists Poncho Sanchez, Mariachi Los Camperos, and Andy Vargas of Santana and his All-Star Band.The event is open to all who would like to participate, regardless of race, sex, color, ethnicity, national origin or other protected statuses.
